Arrive to the allocated meeting place where you will meet your friendly guides. 

After being matched with your steed, you'll experience all that we have to offer. Travail over the black diamond sprinkled dunes and descend onto Muriwai Beach coast line where you can take in the landscaped vistas and sweeping waves. Trail through Woodhill Forest where you will weave through the trees and soak in the smell of fresh pine needles, When accessible you will get to experience taking your horse through one of the deep waterholes (certain times of the year only).

This ride is truly extraordinary and with so many varied terrains and views to be seen you will hardly believe you are on the outskirts of Auckland. 

This trek provides lots of trotting opportunities and a few opportunities to canter throughout the forestry trails. The opportunity to ride faster is always at our guide’s discretion. There is also lots of walking on the trek where you can appreciate the varied scenery and enjoy getting back to nature and taking some photos if you wish.

This trek is only available to people with intermediate horse riding experience and who can (at minimum) confidently and correctly trot and canter a horse. This is a great trek for people that have taken horse riding lessons, are returning to riding and wanting to build confidence, trekked a lot beforehand or owned their own horses and want something a little more challenging and fun but also relaxed and low key.

This is a small group trek (2-4people) you must give an accurate and detailed description of your experience so that you can be matched with an appropriate horse, guide and small group. Please be honest about your experience level. This is best suited to those over 16.
